Mr. Kenneth Alphonsa Norwood, age 66, a resident of Reston, VA, died Thursday morning March 29, 2012 in Bermingham Green Nursing Home in Manassas, VA.
He was a native of Person County and a member of Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church.
He is survived by his mother, Sarah Norwood McGhee of Roxboro; five sisters, Pam Lowery (Adam), Phyllis Norwood, Camilla Norwood, Priscilla Brown (Jimmy) and Gloria Ferrell (Percy) and one brother, Phillip Norwood.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday April 3, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church with the Rev. Larry McDonald, Sr. officiating and the Rev. Marion B. Robinson providing the eulogy. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. At other times the family will be at 333 Depot St., Roxboro. The body will lie in state in the church for one hour prior to the service.
