Sunset Carson Winstead

Mr. Sunset Carson Winstead, age 64, a native of Baltimore, MD and a resident of Roxboro, died in Siler City Care and Rehabilitation Friday April 6, 2012. He was the son of the late John Junious Winstead and Jennie Pulliam Winstead.

He leaves to mourn: two sisters, Geraldine Alexander of Gwynn Oak, MD and Jennie Roberson of Roxboro, NC; one uncle, Willie Winstead of Baltimore, MD; two aunts, Katie W. Winstead of Newark, New Jersey and Gladys Hatcher of Baltimore, MD; four nieces, Betty Johnson of Gwynn Oak, MD, Kim Williams of Roxboro, NC, Heather Roberson of Durham, NC and Tabitha Pettiford of Fuquay Varina, NC; five nephews, David Winstead of Mebane, NC, Elbert Bailey and William Winstead of Durham, NC, Russell Satterfield of Burlington, NC, and Gregory Winstead of Roxboro, NC.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 14, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in Cunningham and Nelson Funeral Home with the Rev. Clyde Glass officiating. The family will receive friends for thirty minutes prior to the service. At other times, the family will be at the home of Kim Williams, 2547 Morton Pulliam Rd. Roxboro.
