Mrs. Joyce Abbott, age 67, a resident of 1918 Haverford St. #2-D, Durham, died in Hock Pavilion in Durham Tuesday evening, February 5, 2013. She was a native of Person County and a member of New Hope Person Baptist Church, 1261 Tom Oakley Rd., Timberlake.
She is survived by two daughters: Barbara Jean Cameron and Janice Abbott; two sons: Stacey Leroy Cameron and Lewis Abbott; one sister, Lois Cameron; four brothers: L.B. Cameron, Otis Cameron, Darrell Cameron, and Jasper Cameron; nine grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in New Hope Person Baptist Church with the Rev. W. L. Richardson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. At other times, the family be at 1045 Dick Holeman Rd., Timberlake. The body will lie in state in the church for one hour prior to the service.
