Ms. Lottie Mae Lawson, age 48, a resident of 209 Burch Ave., Roxboro, died in her home Friday night, February 22, 2013. She was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Scottie Lawson and Kelvin Slade, both of the home; one sister, Cathy Bumphus of Roxboro; five brothers: James Lawson (Sharon), Joe Lawson, and Randolph Lawson, all of Roxboro, Maxell Lawson (Catherine) of Leasburg and the Rev. Frederick Lawson (Dianne) of Durham; one granddaughter, Terrin Lawson of the home.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday February 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Cedar Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Jesse Timberlake officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night in Cedar Grove Baptist Church from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. At other times, the family will be at 209 Burch Ave., Roxboro. The body will lie in state in the church for one hour prior to the service.
